Can a Trader Appeal a Hard Liquidation If They Believe It Was Incorrect?

Generally, appealing a hard liquidation is extremely difficult and rarely successful. Exchanges' Terms of Service typically state that the automated liquidation process is final.

Appeals are usually only considered if the trader can prove a clear, demonstrable technical error on the part of the exchange, such as a Mark Price calculation error or a matching engine failure. Liquidations due to market volatility or insufficient margin are not appealable.
