Define “Front-Running” in the Context of Single-Exchange Settlement.

Front-running occurs when a party with advance knowledge of a large upcoming trade or a significant market event (like a scheduled settlement calculation) uses that information to trade ahead of it for profit. In a single-exchange settlement, an insider could front-run the final price calculation by executing trades to push the price in a favorable direction.
