Define “Hash Rate” in the Context of Cryptocurrency Mining.

Hash rate is the measure of the total computational power being used by miners to process transactions and secure a Proof-of-Work blockchain. It is measured in hashes per second (H/s), often in petahashes (PH/s) or exahashes (EH/s).

A higher hash rate indicates a more secure network, as it requires more energy and resources for a malicious actor to perform a 51% attack.
