Define the Concept of “Leverage” as It Applies to Options Trading.

Options provide leverage by allowing a trader to control a large amount of the underlying asset with a relatively small amount of capital (the option premium). A small percentage change in the underlying asset's price can result in a much larger percentage change in the option's value.

This magnifies both potential profits and potential losses compared to buying the asset outright.
