How Can an Exchange Rebuild a Depleted Insurance Fund Quickly?

An exchange can quickly rebuild a depleted insurance fund by temporarily increasing the percentage of liquidation fees directed to the fund, or by increasing the liquidation fee itself. Another method is to allocate a portion of the exchange's general trading fee revenue to the fund.

In rare cases, the exchange may inject its own capital (shareholder equity) into the fund to restore confidence immediately.
