How Do American-Style Options Differ from European-Style Options in Terms of Early Exercise and Delta?

American-style options grant the holder the right to exercise at any time up to the expiration date, unlike European-style options which can only be exercised at expiration. This early exercise feature generally makes American options slightly more valuable than their European counterparts.

The Delta of an American option, particularly a deep In-the-Money (ITM) put, can be slightly closer to its theoretical maximum/minimum (1 or -1) than a European option due to the added certainty of early exercise.
