How Does a ‘Genesis Block’ Differ from a Regular Block?

The genesis block is the very first block in a blockchain, serving as the foundation upon which all subsequent blocks are built. It is hardcoded into the software and does not reference a previous block, unlike all regular blocks which must contain the hash of the preceding block.

It is unique because it is the starting point and typically contains the initial configuration and rules of the cryptocurrency network.
