How Does an ‘Attestation’ Work in PoS?

An attestation is a vote by a validator to confirm the validity of a block and the current state of the chain. Validators sign messages attesting to their view of the chain.

A sufficient number of attestations (a supermajority) is required to finalize a block and move the chain forward, ensuring consensus and security.
