How Does Proof-of-Stake (PoS) Differ from Proof-of-Work (PoW)?
Proof-of-Work (PoW) relies on miners expending computational energy to solve a puzzle and validate transactions. Proof-of-Stake (PoS), conversely, relies on validators who "stake" their own cryptocurrency as collateral to validate transactions and create new blocks.
In PoS, block creation is determined by the amount of currency staked, not by computational power. PoS is generally considered more energy-efficient than PoW.
