How Does the Randomness of PoS Block Proposal Affect MEV Strategies?

The randomness in selecting the next block proposer in PoS, often managed by a Verifiable Random Function (VRF), prevents MEV searchers from knowing which validator will propose the next block until very late in the process. This uncertainty makes it harder to pre-coordinate complex, multi-block MEV strategies and reduces the ability to establish long-term, collusive relationships with a specific proposer.

However, the randomness does not eliminate the ability to extract MEV in the current block.
