How Is the Difficulty of a Pool’s ‘Share’ Target Set Relative to the Network Difficulty?
The pool's share difficulty is set significantly lower (easier) than the network's actual difficulty target. This is done so that miners can find and submit valid shares frequently, proving their contribution.
If the share difficulty were the same as the network difficulty, miners would rarely find a share, making reward distribution and proof of work contribution impractical.
