How Long Does It Typically Take for the Bitcoin Network’s Difficulty to Adjust after a Major Drop in Hash Rate?

The Bitcoin network is programmed to adjust its mining difficulty every 2016 blocks. Since the target time for each block is ten minutes, the difficulty adjustment period is approximately two weeks (2016 blocks 10 minutes/block = 20,160 minutes, or 14 days).

If the hash rate drops significantly, the block time will be longer than ten minutes, and the actual time until the next adjustment will exceed two weeks.
