How Often Does the Network Difficulty Typically Adjust in Major Cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin?

In Bitcoin, the network difficulty is designed to adjust approximately every two weeks, or precisely every 2,016 blocks. This adjustment is based on the time it took to mine the previous 2,016 blocks.

If the blocks were found faster than the target time (10 minutes per block), the difficulty increases; if they were found slower, the difficulty decreases. This mechanism ensures a consistent block time.
