Is a High-Volume Asset Guaranteed to Have a Narrow Bid-Ask Spread?

Not necessarily, but high volume is a strong indicator of a narrow spread. A high-volume asset usually attracts more market makers and deeper liquidity, which tightens the spread.

However, if that high volume is accompanied by extreme volatility or is fragmented across many exchanges, the spread can still be wider than expected. Liquidity depth is more critical than volume alone.
