Is There a Penalty for a Miner Who Consistently Submits a High Volume of Invalid Shares?

While there is typically no direct financial penalty beyond the loss of the reward for the invalid shares, a pool operator may implement a system to temporarily or permanently ban a miner who consistently submits a high volume of invalid shares.
