What Are the Main Types of Crypto Financial Derivatives?

The main types are futures, options, and perpetual swaps. Futures contracts obligate a buyer to purchase or a seller to sell an asset at a predetermined price and date.

Options give the holder the right, but not the obligation, to buy or sell. Perpetual swaps are similar to futures but have no expiry date and use a funding rate mechanism.
