What Is a Seed Phrase and Why Is Its Security Paramount?

A seed phrase, or recovery phrase, is a list of 12 to 24 words that serves as the master key to all cryptocurrency associated with a wallet. It is used to back up and restore a wallet on any compatible device.

If a hacker obtains the seed phrase, they gain immediate and complete control over all funds, as it allows them to recreate the wallet elsewhere. Conversely, if the user loses the seed phrase, their funds are permanently lost if the original device fails.
