What Is “J/TH” and Why Is It the Most Important Metric for Miners?

J/TH stands for Joules per Terahash, which is the measure of the energy efficiency of a mining hardware unit. It quantifies how many Joules of energy are consumed to generate one Terahash (one trillion hashes) of computational power.

J/TH is the most important metric because it directly determines the miner's operating cost (electricity) per unit of revenue-generating hash rate. A lower J/TH means higher profitability and a more competitive operation.
