What Is the Definition of Vega in Options Trading?

Vega is one of the option Greeks that measures the sensitivity of an option's price to a one-percent change in the underlying asset's implied volatility. Vega indicates how much the option's premium will change if the market's expectation of future price swings changes.

Options with higher Vega are more sensitive to volatility changes, making them valuable for volatility traders.
