What Is the Difference between a Fee Waiver and a Fee Reimbursement for an ETF?

A fee waiver is a temporary agreement by the fund manager to voluntarily reduce or eliminate a portion of the expense ratio for a specified period. A fee reimbursement occurs when the manager returns a portion of the fees already collected to the fund's investors.

Both aim to lower the investor's cost but are accounted for differently.
