What Is the Difference between a Spot Price Oracle and a Volume-Weighted Average Price (VWAP) Oracle?

A spot price oracle reports the price of an asset at a single, specific moment in time. A VWAP oracle calculates the average price of an asset over a given time period, giving more weight to prices where trading volume was higher.

VWAP is generally more resistant to low-volume price manipulation because it reflects the true market activity across different exchanges.
