What Is the Intrinsic Value of a Call Option?

Intrinsic value is the portion of the option's premium that is immediately realizable profit if the option were exercised. For a call option, it is calculated as the difference between the underlying crypto's current market price and the option's strike price, but only if the market price is higher than the strike price.

If the market price is lower, the intrinsic value is zero.
