What Is the Primary Difference between Proof-of-Activity and Delegated Proof-of-Stake (DPoS)?

The primary difference lies in the validator selection process and the inclusion of PoW. Proof-of-Activity (PoA) is a hybrid of PoW and PoS, where miners create a template and all stakers have a chance to be randomly selected to sign.

Delegated Proof-of-Stake (DPoS) is a pure PoS variant where coin holders vote for a limited, fixed number of delegates (witnesses) to validate blocks. DPoS does not involve a PoW component.
