What Is the Relationship between Transaction Volume and the Deflationary Effect?

There is a direct positive relationship: higher transaction volume leads to a higher amount of Ether burned via the base fee. When transaction volume is high enough to generate burning that exceeds the staking issuance, the net supply becomes deflationary.

Low volume means low burning, resulting in inflation.
