What Is the ‘Reorganization Limit’ in PoW?

The reorganization limit is the maximum number of blocks that a blockchain protocol will allow to be replaced by a competing chain (a 'reorg'). While technically possible to reverse many blocks, protocols typically set a practical limit or rely on social consensus to prevent very deep reorganizations that would undermine trust.
