What Is the Risk of Setting a Very Low Gas Price?

Setting a very low gas price means the transaction will be unattractive to validators, leading to it being stuck in the mempool for a long time or potentially being dropped entirely. In a congested network, it is almost certain to be ignored.

This delays the completion of the transaction and may require a costly 'speed up' or 'cancel' operation.
