What Legal Remedies Exist When an Immutable Smart Contract Executes Incorrectly?

When an immutable smart contract executes incorrectly, traditional remedies are complicated. Since the transaction is final, 'specific performance' is often moot.

Legal recourse typically shifts to monetary damages against the responsible party (e.g. the deployer or oracle provider) for breach of a separate legal agreement or for negligence. The doctrine of 'unjust enrichment' may also be invoked to reclaim funds sent in error, but this requires a court order external to the blockchain.
