Why Would a Miner Choose a PROP Pool over a PPS Pool, despite the Higher Risk?

Miners might choose a PROP pool because the operator fee is typically lower than a PPS pool. This lower fee means that, over a long period of time and assuming average pool luck, the miner's net earnings could be slightly higher.

PROP pools are also attractive to miners who believe the pool is currently "lucky" or has a high chance of finding blocks quickly. Furthermore, some miners prefer the pure proportional system that reflects the direct success of the pool's efforts.
